Jhalkathi Nalchiti in the 44th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteers Party was celebrated  . As part of the program announced by the Centre, a public meeting was held on Tuesday (August 20) at 11 am at Nalchiti Merchants Secondary School grounds. Since the morning, the leaders and workers of different unions and different districts of the municipality started coming to the meeting place with piecemeal processions.
President of Upazila Sachsevak Dal Touhid Alam Manna spoke and moderated by General Secretary Md Saidul Kabir Rana, Central BNP Religious Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam Jamal, former Member of Parliament BNP leader Israt Sultana Ilain Bhutto, district BNP convener Advocate Syed Hossain, district BNP member secretary. Advocate Shahadat Hossain, former president of Jhalkathi BNP, veteran freedom fighter Mustafa Kamal Montu, Nalchiti BNP leader Golam Mostafa Chalu, Nalchiti Upazila BNP president Advocate Anisur Rahman Khan Helal, Paur BNP president Mojibur Rahman.
Jhalkathi district BNP leader Khandaker Ahidul Islam Badal, Jhalkathi district volunteer group senior joint secretary Azadur Rahman Khan, Jhalkathi district youth youth acting president Rabiul Islam Tuhin, district Chhatra Dal president Gias Sardar Dipu, general secretary Saidul Kabir Rana, volunteer group leader Mehdi Tarek were also present on the occasion. , Subidpur Union BNP leader Md. Elaine Bhutto said that the country has become independent, now it is the responsibility of all of us to protect the freedom. At this time, she expressed deep grief over the death of the former president of Nalchiti Upazila Jubo Dal, Dulal Talukder.
Rafiqul Islam Jamal said that the defeated power is not sitting in India but playing dirty game of conspiracy. Even after hiding hundreds of activists and keeping them in mirror rooms, they did not lose heart.
He praised all the leaders and activists including Tauhid Alam Manna and Saidul Kabir Rana for keeping the Nalchiti Upazila Volunteer Team so well organized.
After the meeting, a rally took place around the various streets of the city. During this time, displays on various issues of the anti-discrimination student movement, including caricatures of former dictator Sheikh Hasina,were displayed.
