Not only Awami League, Jamaat-BNP should learn from the fall of the dictatorship of Sheikh Hasina, said Jamaat Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

He said these things to the journalists while visiting the injured people of the anti-discrimination movement under treatment at the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (NITOR) on Monday (August 19).

He said that those who will come to run the country should not play the role of oppressors. They should not walk on the same road. We should all learn from this. Everyone should learn the consequences of being cruel to people. They should learn so that the nation does not fall into the same pit.

He also said, today we have come to see the injured in the hospital. It was not possible to meet everyone. Because seeing everyone will disrupt the medical system. That is why I came out to see a small number of wounded brothers in a short time.

Jamaat Amir said with an injured protester by his side, I have a brother by my side. Both hands were broken in the shot. God knows how long it will take to recover. We hope his hand lasts.

Referring to the condition of the injured, he said, “We saw that many people had to lose their legs.” They will never get their feet back. They may live in the world with an arm or a leg. But I remember those who have left this world with deep respect. I pray to Allah Ta’ala to give them the status of martyrs. May Allah give peace to their family. And bless those who are injured with speedy recovery.

He said, I asked those whom I met how they felt. They all said they were happy, enjoying and thanking Allah. Allah gave us the strength to fight for the liberation of the nation.

I asked one of them what to do when one leg is gone, if the nation needs it again. He said, if necessary, I will take another step. Even then, if necessary, I will give my life. When people stand up for the nation like this, then no one else can and will not be able to keep that nation under control, inshallah.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, I pray for the director, doctors, nurses and nannies of this hospital, may Allah increase their status.

He said, I asked the injured whether you are satisfied with their treatment or not. They said – they are satisfied.
