A murder case has been filed against 62 people including former Member of Parliament of Comilla Sadar Constituency AKM Bahauddin Bahar and his elder daughter Comilla City Corporation Mayor Tahsin Bahar. Another 400 people have been named as accused.
A person named Abdul Hannan filed the case as a plaintiff at Comilla Sadar South Police Station on Sunday night (August 18).

According to the statement of the case, on the afternoon of August 4, the students of Comilla led a protest march at Nandanpur in Kotbari Bishwaroad area of ​​Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Meanwhile, Bahar and his daughter Sochna’s followers fired at the students indiscriminately. In this, Masum Mia (20), son of Shaheen Mia, son of North Rampur, Ward No. 22 of Comilla City, and many others were shot dead. After they were rescued and taken to Comilla Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty declared Masum dead.
As the police could not identify the dead body, Masum’s body was later buried as an unclaimed body. Later, the plaintiff in the case and relatives of the deceased identified Masum after seeing the picture of the dead body on social media.
The plaintiff in the case is said to be a close relative of the deceased innocent. He is a resident of Dishaband area of ​​the city.
