These workers were tried and sentenced within 48 hours and the Bangladesh Embassy did not play any role in helping them, due to the ongoing political unrest in the country. At present, for the assistance of those workers, Advocate Zakia Akhtar asked the Bangladesh Embassy to know the case number against the workers, they said that they are working on this matter on priority basis. But no visible results have been seen yet regarding the release of the workers. Therefore, the human rights organization FLOOD is drawing the attention of the concerned department of the current government.

“On behalf of the Foundation for Law and Development (FLOAD), we are committed to providing the best possible legal assistance to these prisoners,” Flood’s statement said. If you are a family member or know someone who is, please contact us. We stand by them in this challenging time, we are determined to ensure justice for them.
