Metrorail movement will resume from Saturday, August 17. However, Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations affected by the anti-discrimination student movement will remain closed for the time being.

On Sunday (August 11), Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), which is responsible for the construction and operation of the metro rail, informed this information.

According to DMTCL sources, there was no damage to metro rail coaches, lines and signal system during the anti-discrimination student agitation. However, Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations ticket sales and passenger fare collection systems have been affected.
