Young Social Worker Md. Abu Jubayer Injured by Tear Gas and Rubber Bullets

On August 4, young social worker Md. Abu Jubayer participated in a non-cooperation movement as part of an anti-discrimination student protest. When the police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the protesters, Jubayer was among those injured.
The exposure to tear gas and rubber bullets caused him to experience breathing difficulties and vomiting, leading to a loss of consciousness. Fellow students quickly transported him to a hospital, where he began to recover after receiving oxygen and medical treatment for nearly two hours. Later, for his safety, he was relocated from the hospital. He is now reported to be in a stable condition.
A native of Birganj Upazila in Dinajpur, Md. Abu Jubayer was recently nominated for the International Youth Leadership Award and the Global Social Influencer Award. This talented young man has received numerous accolades, including first place in the National Speech Contest.
Despite his youth, Jubayer’s leadership and strong networking skills have made him a well-known figure internationally. He has requested prayers from the nation for his swift recovery.
