The Supreme Court administration has announced the closure of the Appellate and High Court divisions of the Supreme Court and lower courts across the country from Monday until further orders.
However, if the Chief Justice deems it necessary, he can set up a bench of the High Court at any place. Apart from this, the Metropolitan Magistrate Court and the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court across the country will remain open.
According to the circular, the Chief Justice of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Appellate Division has issued the following instructions until further notice:
1. Judicial proceedings of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Appellate Division will be closed;
2. All offices and branches of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Appellate Division will remain closed as usual:
3. However, the Chief Justice will take necessary measures in urgent matters. A notification has been issued in this regard.
