Two additional IGPs, five additional DIGs and 48 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police have been transferred simultaneously. These transfers were made in four separate notifications issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Home Ministry on Sunday (July 28).
Deputy Secretary Md. signed the notification by order of the President. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh. In one of these notifications, two additional IGPs have been transferred. Another notification transferred five additional DIGs.
Besides, 32 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police have been transferred in one notification and 16 officers in another. It is said in the notifications that this order issued in public interest will be effective immediately.
Meanwhile, Police Telecom Rajarbagh Deputy Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidur Rahman has been transferred to Police Directorate, Dhaka as Additional Inspector General of Police. Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police attached to the Directorate of Police. Shakhawat Hossain has been transferred to Tourist Police as Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police.
