 Moulvibazar organized a mourning and doa mahfil for the untimely death of Bangladesh’s famous chess grandmaster Ziaur Rahman at Mamar Bari restaurant in the afternoon of July 13. Tawhid Islam Chess Academy founder director Tawhid Islam presided over the program organized by prominent chess player Abdul Jalil and prominent social worker and theater personality Khaled Chowdhury was present as the chief guest. As a special guest, the president of Moulvibazar Chess Association Ed. Mushtaq Ahmed Mom, Sector Commander 71 Forum Moulvibazar Organizing Secretary Humayun Ahmad, Referee Association Moulvibazar Vice President AKM Aklu, Deepta News Editor Durud Ahmed, Moulvibazar Online Press Club and Bangladesh Human Rights Implementation Organization, Moulvibazar District Branch General Secretary Mashahid Ahmed, Neela Nag Smriti Parishad, Moulvibazar general secretary and social activist Khasruzzaman Chowdhury, Moulvibazar Online Press Club vice-president Anjan Prasad Roy Chowdhury, Duriniti Muktkaran Bangladesh Forum, Moulvibazar district organizing secretary journalist Chinu Ranjan Das Talukdar.
