Khulna Illegal structures have been evicted from illegally occupied government land in Dighlia upazila of Khulna. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land and Executive Magistrate Debangshu Biswas on Wednesday. A local public representative and an influential gang of land grabbers were forcefully occupying the government land and constructing illegal structures.
Dighlia Upazila Assistant Commissioner Lands and Executive Magistrate Debanshu Biswas said that in front of the Gazirhat Union Land Office of the upazila, a circle was illegally occupying the government Khas Khatian land of Masandpur Mauza in Gazirhat Bazar and building a market. On receiving this news, mobile courts were run by mobile courts and the illegal occupants’ establishments were demolished. Later, legal action will be taken against the encroachers.
He also said that a two-storied building has also been constructed on the adjacent land of the eviction land. The owner of which Mehdi Gazi has been instructed to appear with the necessary documents of the land through a notice. Legal action will be taken against him if he fails to show the required documents.
Incidentally, the construction work of Mehdi Gazi’s two-storey building was stopped due to failure to show the required documents earlier. Although later he built the building without hindrance.
