The wife of a Saudi expatriate named Akhi Moni (17) committed suicide by hanging herself in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat.
On Saturday morning, the hanging body of the woman named Akhi Moni was recovered from her father-in-law’s house in Aditmari Paschimpara village of the upazila.  Later, the doctor declared him brought dead at Aditamari Health Complex.
Deceased Akhi Moni is the daughter of Ainul Haque of village Batrish Hazari, Khotamara, Lalmonirhat Taluk.
According to family sources, Akhi Monir got married to Shakil Mia, a Saudi Arabian expatriate of the upazila, 10 months ago through video call.  After that, Akhi took the SSC exam from her father’s house at Lalmonirhat Fazlul Karim Girls High School.  Like every day, Akhi Moni fell asleep in his room after eating and drinking with his family on Friday night.  On Saturday morning, father-in-law Noor Mohammad found Akhi lying on the floor.  Later, when Aditmari was taken to the health complex, the doctor declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, a scrap of note is found in Akhi Moni’s bedroom.  It can be seen that it is written, ‘Father, forgive me.  You take me tomorrow morning at 11, I have nothing to gain in life.  you forgive me
Akhir’s father Ainul Haque said that my daughter called at night and told about the torture of her mother-in-law.  Asked to bring him at night.  I said I will take it in the morning.  He died before that.  He confessed to the torture and committed suicide.  I want justice.
However, when Akhir’s father-in-law asked to take his mother-in-law’s statement, they refused to comment.
Aditmari Police Station OC Mahmud Un Nabi said, initially, it is believed that Akhi committed suicide.  But to know the real reason, the body has been sent to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.  His father is preparing to file a case.  Legal action will be taken later if complaints are received.
