It is known that the villagers of Maheshpur submitted a written application to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer to resolve the waterlogging. In response to the application, under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nu Emong Marma Mong, today Saturday (July 6) at 11:30 a.m., they went to Maheshpur village of South Khoshbas Union along with the local people and opened the water supply line and freed 150 families from waterlogging.
According to local sources, 150 families of Maheshpur village are under water. Agricultural and non-agricultural crops, vegetables and various fruit trees are being damaged due to waterlogging. More than one and a half hundred families are housebound due to water logging in people’s cowsheds, kitchens and homes. Today, with the help of UNO, the local people got rid of the floods.
The local people said that they will pray to Allah, they are passing the day very hard. Can’t end with thanks to the upazila administration.
In this regard, local member Saheb Ali said that due to continuous rain and due to the creation of a dam by some local people, one and a half hundred families were stuck in water. Released today.
