Freedom fighter Wahiduzzaman Naimul has held a press conference accusing freedom fighter Wahiduzzaman Naimul of abuse of power, false case, extortion and harassment in Baluakandi of Ghazaria upazila of Munshiganj.
The press conference was held at Ghazaria Baluakandi Meghna Village Resort on Friday (July 5th) at around 11:30 am. BLF and Mujib Bahini’s Liberation War Assistant Upazila Commander Squadron Leader AKM Akhtaruzzaman Kamal, Baluakandi Union Parishad Chairman Shahiduzzaman Jewel, Heroic Freedom Fighter Anisur Rahman Shikdar Iran, Heroic Freedom Fighter Solaiman Munshi, Heroic Freedom Fighter Jamal Uddin, Heroic Freedom Fighter Abdul Bir Ahad, Freedom fighter Abdus Salam, heroic freedom fighter Md. Habibur Rahman and others.
Hero freedom fighter squadron leader AKM Akhtaruzzaman said, Wahiduzzaman Naimul’s role during the liberation war was mysterious. He was a favorite of the Pakistani army. He was seen moving around with the invading forces at various times. We have no information that he trained anywhere or fought with us. If you do not believe, you can ask the freedom fighters of Ghazaria upazila. We are deeply embarrassed by his recent actions. He is not leaving any local freedom fighters and common people. His actions as a freedom fighter are embarrassing for the freedom fighters. Fake freedom fighters have been caught in various verification activities in different parts of the country. I humbly request the administration to inquire about Wahiduzzaman Naimul. Find out if he actually fought.
Freedom fighter Anisur Rahman Shikdar Iran said, Wahiduzzaman Naimul filed five cases in my name by arranging false dramas in various incidents. I don’t understand how a freedom fighter can be like that. He is not ashamed to resort to deception because he did not fight the liberation war. We demand investigation into all incidents and his punishment.
Shahiduzzaman Jewel, chairman of Baluakandi Union Parishad, said that numerous local people have complained to me about the matter. Recently, he took seven and a half lakh taka from a man named Harun promising to sell the land. I ask him about the matter as he has not returned the money or registered the land even after a long time has passed. That’s why he filed a case in my name. We are amazed how a freedom fighter can cheat people. We demand his punishment.
When asked about the matter, the accused Wahiduzzaman Naimul said, ‘Unable to deal with me, a particular group has come against me in a planned way. None of the things they said against me in today’s press conference are true. I will take legal action against them’.
