RAB-10 has arrested Abdul Quader, a long-time absconding accused sentenced to 05 years in the Special Powers Act case, from Mohammadpur area of ​​the capital.

Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation of the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and illegal armed terrorists. RAB has already been able to gain the public’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities.

In continuation of this, yesterday on 03 July 2024 AD at 11.30 am, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Rai’s market area under Mohammadpur police station of the capital Dhaka on the basis of secret information. In the said campaign ST 38/12, GR-176/08 (Beng), Section-25-B-(2) of the Special Powers Act, 1974; Md. Abdul Quader (55), father- Abdul Aziz Gazi, Sang-Char Lakshikantpur, Thana-Jazira, District-Shariatpur, arrested the accused Md Abdul Quader (55), sentenced to 05 years in the case. During the preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to be the absconding accused convicted in the said case.

The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
