I would like to talk to the Prime Minister to solve the problem by building a permanent dam to save from the water upstream from Parashuram and Fulgazi upazila.

Meanwhile, the HSC and equivalent examinations of 2 upazilas have been postponed due to flooding in the lower areas of Parashuram and Fulgazi upazilas. The water of the Mahuri river is above the danger level, the dam is breaking and sinking. District Deputy Commissioner said that several areas of Fulgazi and Parshuram upazilas have been flooded due to the breach of the dam of the river Muhuri. Concerned authorities were informed about the postponement of today’s examination in consideration of the students. We inform the three boards (General Education Board, Madrasa Education Board and Vocational) through letters. In view of this, the HSC examination of Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas has been postponed.

This time the HSC exam is being held in four centers in Phulghazi and two centers in Parashuram.

Alamgir Hossain, an HSC candidate from North Daulatpur area of ​​Fulgazi, said that the house including the bed was submerged in the flood water at night, and the family members are in great trouble. It is not possible for us to sit the exam in this situation as all the roads in the area are submerged. After coming to the center with difficulty in the morning, I came to know about the postponement of the exam.

In this regard, Fulgazi Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Tanya Bhuiyan said, yesterday around 11:30 pm, erosion occurred in three parts of the Muhuri river flood control dam in Daulatpur area of ​​Fulgazi upazila. Five villages have been flooded. In this view the examination has been postponed. This time 1 thousand 1 students are participating in the HSC examination in four centers in the upazila. Incidentally, the water of Muhuri river is flowing 130 cm above the boundary line due to heavy rains and water upstream of India. In this, four places of flood control dam broke and several villages of Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas of the district were flooded. Erosion has occurred at 4 places on the embankment of Muhuri river in Phulgazi, Feni, due to hillslopes. Water has started entering the locality.
