A Bangladeshi citizen was arrested in Saudi Arabia on charges of child molestation

A Bangladeshi expatriate has been arrested in Saudi Arabia for molesting a girl child. Saudi North Border District Police arrested Bangladeshi citizen Mohammad Jewel Hussain yesterday (June 26) at approximately 10:00 a.m. local time on charges of molesting a girl child.  However, the Saudi police did not reveal the details of the arrested Bangladeshi.
The police said that the accused has been arrested, legal action has been taken against him and he has been referred for public prosecution.
According to Saudi law, anyone who commits the crime of harassment is punishable by imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years and a fine not exceeding 100,000 Saudi Riyals, or both.
The paragraph further states: “The judgment issued specifying the penalties referred to in this article may include a condition that news with pictures be published in one or more local newspapers at the offender’s own expense.
