Thakurgaon – Former Member of National Parliament of 3 Constituencies and Leader of Bangladesh Workers Party Comrade Veer Muktijoddha Shaheedullah Shaheed (75) has passed away (Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He died in the late night of June 17 while undergoing treatment at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Hospital. His Janaza was held in the afternoon of June 18 at Pirganj Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium ground in Thakurgaon. Before this, a display of state dignity, guard of honor was given. Esmoy Works Pati, Ananya Dal leader Karmi, Mukti Jodha MP, social culture organization paid tribute by placing flowers on the coffin. Finally, Pir Dangi was buried in the family graveyard. Late former MP Birmuktijoddha Com. Shahidullah Shaheed is the son of late Azim Uddin of Mitra Bati Munsipara town of Pirganj upazila. He was born on 23 March 1949. Passed SSC from Pirganj High School in 1966. In 1979, he was elected as a Member of Parliament from Dinajpur – 4 Pirganj – Bochaganj constituency with the wall clock symbol. Later in 1986, he was elected to the post of Member of Parliament from Thakurgaon-3 Pirganj-Ranishangkail constituency with a boat symbol. But within 17 months he resigned from the post of Member of Parliament. On 15 April 1988, Parveen was married to Bithi, a noble family of the district. He left behind a wife, a son, two daughters and numerous well-wishers. Heroic freedom fighter Comrade Shahidullah Shaheed was very close to Rashid Khan Menon, a disciple of Maulana Bhasani and Haji Danesh and the great language soldier Abdul Matin, along with the left leader Rashid Khan Menon. The politician represented the district of Workas Patir in Bangladesh with boldness in life and unshakable policy, gaining popular fame from the sidelines as a landless, farm laborer. The former struggle leader was engaged as a freedom fighter guerilla freedom fighter during the Great Independence. His contribution to the liberation war in this region is outstanding and legendary. Thakurgaon-3 Member of Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Former Member of Parliament Imdadul Haque, Former Member of Parliament Zahidur Rahman, Upazila Parishad Chairman Akhtarul Islam, Upazila President of Bangladesh Workers Party Faizul Islam, Municipal Mayor expressed deep grief over his death and condoled with the bereaved family. Heroic freedom fighter Ikramul Haque, civil society of Peerganj including Jasd, NAP and media workers.
