On the orders of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station, Md. Kamal Hossain, Trishal police station arrested 3 persons including 3 cows and seized the blue color pickup car used for theft and brought it to the police station. There are more than 25 cases of cow theft in different police stations.
The arrested are Ah Chalam of Jamalpur, Maruf, Shariful of Rangpur.
Officer-in-charge of Trishal police station Md. Kamal Hossain said that during the Trishal police station check post, 3 stolen cows were arrested, along with Salam, the accused in the 11 case.
He also informed that under the direction of Mymensingh District Superintendent of Police Masum Ahmed Bhuiyan. Masum Ahmed Bhuiyan, BPM, PPM and Assistant Superintendent of Police of Trishal Circle Arit Sarkar during the check post of Trishal police station on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha, during the check post of Trishal Thana Police, Salam and 2 accused in 11 cases including 3 stolen cows. Cow thief arrested and 1 pickup, hand cutter, rope used in cow theft recovered.
At that time, Trishal Police Station OC (Investigation) Md Chandmia, SI Abdul Karim, Ashraful Alam, Suman Mia, ASI Rakibul were present.
According to Trishal police sources, even before the last Eid, the active members of Ant district cow thieves gang including the accused of 17 cases of cow theft were arrested under the leadership of OC Md. Kamal Hossain. Basically, due to the extensive activities of the current OC, cow theft has stopped to a large extent in Trishal. The common people said that the current OC is relentless. Sources said law and order has also improved significantly due to efforts and interventions.

In the evening of 07/06/2024, the plaintiff killed his 03 cows in the cowshed and fell asleep after eating and drinking at approximately 11:00 PM. Later, at about 04.30 am, he woke up and went to the cow shed, but after searching the house and surrounding areas, he reported the theft of cows to the duty officer of Trishal Police Station on his mobile phone. Later in the morning at approximately 05.30 hours people can tell that 03 thieves and 03 cows along with pick-up car were arrested by the police in front of the poultry farm of one Bajlur Rahman resident of Kazi Shimla Dulal Bari under Trishal police station on the Mymensingh bound lane of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. 2/3 thieves run away. After the news, the plaintiff’s husband Md. Bajlur Rahman and son-Sheikh Sarwar Hossain went to the spot and identified 03 cows. Later Trishal Thana police seized the stolen blue color pick-up car with registration number Dhaka Metro No-20-8271 along with 03 cows and brought it to the police station. At this time, 1 red colored cow, estimated value of 70000, was caught by the patrol police. They were arrested along with three cows worth tk 1,75,000.
