Five business establishments burnt in middle of night in Charfassion

Five shops were gutted in fire at Charfassion in Bhola. According to the information of the traders, the fire service has said that there has been a loss of around 15 lakh rupees.

The fire broke out at Bhaktirhat Bazar in Nazrulnagar Union of upazila at around 3:30 pm on Friday (June 7).

Police Inspector Monir Hossain of South Aicha Police Station confirmed this information.

According to police and local sources, a fire broke out at Nirav’s shop, a grocer in Bhaktirhat Bazar around 3:30 pm on Friday. Locals tried to put out the fire but failed. Later, a unit of Charfassion Fire Service came and brought the fire under control in 1 hour. By then, five shops were completely burnt down.

Nazrulnagar Union Parishad Chairman Ruhul Amin Howladar visited the spot. He said that five shops were completely burnt in the fire. Five traders have suffered a loss of around 15 lakh taka. He assured cooperation to the affected businessmen and demanded government assistance to turn them around.

Asaduzzaman, station officer of Charfassion Fire Service, said, “We brought the fire under control after about 1 hour of effort. By then, five shops had been burnt down. According to the information of the traders, there has been a loss of about 15 lakh taka.
