On Tuesday 04 June 2024 in Sonaimuri, Noakhali, the house of Keghna Ashkar Chowkidar of Keghna Ashkar Chowkidar of Upazila No. 1 Jayag UP was vandalized and looted by the squatters. 4 people named Mir Hossain (54) were seriously injured. Injured Chaleha Begum and Ayesha Akhtar are under treatment in Chittagong Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. When the Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court filed a complaint in this regard in Noakhali, the learned court took the complaint into consideration and ordered the OC Sonaimuri to register the case as an FIR.

According to the victim’s family, case and local sources, the deceased Munsoor Ahmad of the house of Keghna Ashkar Chowkidar of Upazila No. 1 Jayag UP was the owner of 17 and a half percent of the land in the house he lived in according to Warish and Kharid sources. After his death, his wife and three sons live in the said land and live in usufruct. Siraj and Yakub Gong, son of the deceased Mucha Mia of the same house, have been conspiring to evict Mansoor Ahmed’s sons from the house for several years. The victim Mir Hussain is being threatened and intimidated by external terrorists to leave his house and land and move to another place.

The victim Mir Hussain also said that Siraj Gong has brought bullies and outsiders with manpower and tortured, harassed, assaulted and assaulted his family at various times. In this regard, the local chairman, members and dignitaries did not seek redressal. A few days ago, I (Mir Hossain) along with my other brother and sister were accused in the Sonaimuri police station by fabricating a false case. SI Zakir Hossain secretly filed a prosecution against us in court in exchange of huge amount of money from Siraj Gong without any investigation. After secretly filing the prosecution in the court, Siraj Gong and his followers recklessly came in front of my living room and beat me up and seriously injured me at 11 o’clock on Monday, May 20 last.

When I filed a complaint against Siraj Gong 9 people after treatment at the Upazila Health Complex, the court ordered the OC DB Noakhali to submit an investigation report. Later, when I filed an injunction suit (permanent injunction) in the learned civil court in self-defence against Siraj Gong’s torture and the threat of vandalism and forced occupation, the learned court ordered the opponent Siraj Gong to show cause within 7 days.

15-20 foreign terrorists led by Siraj’s brother Ayakub Ali, son Manu, Hafiz, Jamta Khokon armed with deadly weapons such as chisels, hammers, SS pipes, axes, iron rods, sticks etc. They suddenly attacked us and destroyed the house and looted the house. During the attack by terrorists Khokon, Manu, Hafez, Ayakub, Sohagid, I and my mother Saleha Begum, sister Ayesha, Kursum Akhtar got serious bloody injuries on the head and various parts of the body. .When my sister-in-law Mohin called 999 number during such frenzy of terrorists, she connected with Sonaimuri police station OC investigation from Sanglist hotline and for some unknown reason, Sonaimuri police station did not reach the spot even after 2 hours of the incident, even after calling 999 number, she expressed her anger.

Mir Hossain also said that my mother and sister are under treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. In this regard, my mother filed a complaint in the Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Noakhali, and the learned court considered the complaint as an FIR and ordered OC Sonaimuri to register the case.

In this regard, Sonaimuri police station officer in-charge Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury said, according to the order of the court, the case has been filed on the complaint filed by Chaleha Begum. Necessary measures will be taken during the investigation including the arrest of the accused.
