The businessmen have formed a human chain in protest against the activities against the constitution of the Chamber and various irregularities and arbitrariness by the current president of Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The former president of Chapainawabganj Chamber, the then president of Merchants Association Mojibur Rahman, current council director Raihanul Islam Luna, Anwar Hossain, Kausar Jahan, associate member and member secretary of civic committee Moniruzzaman Monir, associate member Monirul Islam, Touhidul Islam, general member and Former President of Contractors Association Tauhidur Rahman. The speakers who were present at the time raised allegations of corruption against the president of the chamber and demanded that action be taken. Also said that 43 associate members are not being given full membership illegally. The business leaders demanded strict punishment against him, accusing him of being involved in activities against the interests of businessmen.
