7,000 meters of current net seized by raiding the Arialkhan river in Muladi

Fisheries office and administration have seized and burnt 7 thousand meters of current net by conducting a raid in Arialkhan river of Muladi and a behundi net in Hijla.

On May 16, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Mohammad Al and Sub Inspector of Naval Police Hijla Bashir Uddin conducted a raid and seized 7000 meters of current net from a shop in Char Ekta of Meghna River in Hijla Upazila and burnt it and arrested 1 person and 5000 taka. Fines are levied. Hijla Upazila Assistant Commissioner Lands and Executive Magistrate Yasin Sadek managed the mobile court.

On the other hand, 1 behundi net from Arialkhan river of Muladi upazila was seized and destroyed by burning. Md. Nizam Uddin, Muladi Upazila Executive Officer, conducted the mobile court.
