Saudi Arabia has banned performing Umrah more than once in the holy month of Ramadan. Basically, the government of the country has taken such an initiative to reduce the crowd in Makkah .
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah quoted a report on Sunday (March 17) that many people flock to Mecca to perform the short Hajj or Umrah when fasting begins. No one is allowed to perform Umrah more than once in Ramadan. Muslims are urged to perform the holy Umrah only once in this month.
This decision has been taken to reduce overcrowding and so that others can perform Umrah properly and beautifully.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s official Nusuk app, which allows electronic Umrah permits, displays a message when a person applies for permission to perform Umrah for the second time during Ramadan. It says, “Permission failed. No one can perform Umrah a second time in Ramadan to give everyone a chance.
It should be noted that the country has taken various initiatives so that foreign pilgrims can perform Umrah easily and smoothly. As a part of this, the visit and tourist visa holders are also allowed to perform Umrah. Besides, these visa holders can also go to Madinah’s Rawaza .
