Human chain and rally were held to demand justice for the killers of Comilla girl college student Mosharat Jahan Muniya. This program was celebrated on Saturday (February 3) at 11 am in front of the Comilla Press Club by the initiative of various social organizations including district freedom fighters, Shaheed Mukti Jodha family.
They demanded the arrest of Sayem Sobhan Anveer, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, accused in the trial and case of the murderers of Muniya who participated in the program. They said, the movement will continue until Munya’s murder is brought to justice. And if there is no fair trial, they will go on a hard movement.
Muniya’s elder sister Nusrat Jahan Tania said, we have passed 7 dates in the court so far regarding Muniya’s murder trial. Not getting any justice. The date of the case is next Wednesday, February 7 in Dhaka Judge Kot. We hope to get justice in the court on Muniya’s murder on that date. He says, if Anvir survives now, more such incidents will happen. They demanded arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in Muniya’s murder.
Meanwhile, in front of Comilla’s press club, holding hands with banners and festoons, the families of the martyred freedom fighters demanded justice for Munia’s murder. Demanding to ensure the safety of Munia’s family in human chain, the speakers warned to take to the streets of Comilla if Bashundhara MD Anveer, who killed Munia, is not arrested.
It should be noted that on the evening of April 26, 2021, police recovered the body of college student Mosarat Jahan Munia from a flat in house number 19 on road number 120 of Gulshan. In this incident, Munia’s elder sister Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a case against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anveer accusing her of abetting suicide. Already there is a storm of discussion about the incident across the country. But now the victim’s family is claiming that Munia was killed in a planned manner.
