Israul Haque Rana (24), the accused in the rape case of Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat, was arrested by Aditmari Thana Police from Cox’s Bazar.
A group of police led by Aditmari Police Station OC (Investigation) Rafiqul Islam and investigating officer SI Zahid Hasan arrested him on February 2 in Pekua area of ​​Cox’s Bazar district with the help of the local police station and brought him to Aditmari police station.
Aditmari police station OC Mahmud Un Nabi confirmed to the media that the accused of the rape case was arrested from Cox’s Bazar on Saturday (February 3) afternoon.
He told reporters that Israul Haque Rana, the accused in the rape case filed by a class 10 school girl, was arrested from Pekua in Cox’s Bazar with the help of information technology. The accused was brought to Aditmari police station from Cox’s Bazar. He also said that later he will be sent to jail through the court.
He also said that when the schoolgirl became pregnant, the rapist refused to marry due to the pressure of marriage. Later Rana went into hiding. He used to work in a cow farm in disguise at the house of a farmer named Kajal in Pekua area of ​​Cox’s Bazar. Based on such information, a group of police led by OC Investigation Rafiqul Islam arrested Rana with the help of local police.
According to the source of the case, Rana used to harass a class 10 student every day while she was going to school. He used to offer love at different times. At one point, Rana took the girl to a relative’s house and raped her several times in a love trap. When the schoolgirl became pregnant, the rapist refused to marry because of the pressure of marriage. Later Rana went into hiding. After this delay, the schoolgirl gave birth to a son in a private hospital in Lalmonirhat on January 21. Later, the student filed a case under the Prevention of Torture against Women and Children Act at the Aditmari police station.
