Winter clothes have been distributed by Combined Human Rights World Tangail Unit in Katuli, Hugra and Baghil Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila.
The leaders of the organization conducted a day-long winter clothing program on Saturday with this slogan, “We have come to the service of humanity, you too come forward.” In the beginning of the program, winter clothes were distributed among the needy and cold people in Torapganj market of Katuli Union. Yahia Dewan Khan, one of the leaders of District Sramik League, was the guest at the distribution ceremony. In the afternoon, winter clothes were distributed among the needy and cold people of North Hugra of Hugra Union. Shaukat Hossain, UP Member of Ward No. 5 of Hugra Union Parishad, Babul, a prominent local businessman, were guests at the distribution ceremony. In the afternoon, winter clothes were distributed among the needy people of Baghil Union at Darerbari School. Harun Or Rashid, UP Member of Ward No. 4 of Baghil Union, Vice President of Combined Human Rights World Tangail Unit Birmuktijoddha Asaduzzaman were the guests during the distribution. Combined Human Rights World Tangail Unit Executive President Arif Ur Rahman Togar, President Arifur Rahman, General Secretary Md. Shamim Al Mamun, Vice President Lutfar Rahman, Co-Organizing Secretary Sohail Mia, Sanjida Lopa and Member Shahjalal Akand.
It should be noted that the Combined Human Rights World Tangail Unit started its journey through an introduction ceremony at the Municipal Auditorium on December 23. In the meantime, the newly elected Executive Committee of Tangail Press Club was given a crest and floral welcome and winter clothes were distributed among the poor and cold residents of the municipality on January 31. The organization has already distributed more than 400 blankets among the needy during this winter season.
