Lalmonirhat is covered with cold and dense fog in Konkan. The temperature dropped to 11.6 degrees around 8 am on Wednesday.
Subal Chandra, Officer-in-Charge of Rajarhat Agricultural Meteorological Observatory confirmed the matter.
He said that the minimum temperature in Lalmonirhat and its surrounding areas was 11.6 degrees Celsius till 8 am on Wednesday. The temperature is likely to drop below 10 degrees Celsius in two days.
Meanwhile, people suffer from severe winter due to lack of sun during the day. Especially since the evening, the roads and localities are covered with thick fog. At the same time, the condition of people is stiff in the cold air. Low income people are being disrupted. Mist is blowing like rain at night. Elderly and children are suffering from bone-chilling cold.
