Chapainawabganj Sadar-3 constituencies threatened to kill workers-supporters. Maulana Abdul Matin is the candidate for the BNM anchor symbol warning of boycotting the vote if security is not guaranteed.
On Wednesday (December 03), the Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM) candidate for the anchor symbol of Chapainawabganj Sadar-3 constituency, Abdul Matin, expressed these words in a press conference at his residence.
Complaining in the press conference, since the filing of nomination papers on November 30, his workers have attacked supporters around the house of the (BNM) designated anchor symbol candidate. Then on December 18, after the start of the campaign, direct threats were made to his workers and supporters and obscenities and threats were started against the candidate of social media anchor symbol. Vehicles and activists participating in his campaign were blocked, assaulted and threatened with death.
He also said that there are threats to election polling agents, women campaign workers and there is fear of free, fair, impartial and level playing. Election Commission in all these matters. He said that although the Election Inquiry Committee made written and oral complaints to the District Returning Officer and the police administration, no action was taken.
