The police recovered the body of a youth named Faisal Ahmed (18) in Kalihati, Tangail. On the morning of December 23, the body was recovered from a wood garden in Dhalatengar village of Dashakia union of the upazila.

Relatives said Faisal Ahmed left home on Friday evening to offer Maghrib prayers. After that, as he did not return home, his relatives started searching in different places. On Saturday morning, local people found Faisal’s bloody body lying in a garden in Dhalatengar village and informed the police. Later the police came and recovered the body and took it to Kalihati police station.
In this regard, Kalihati Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Farooq said that the victim’s body had marks of sharp weapon injury in different places. It is believed that sometime on Friday night, the miscreants killed him and left the body at the spot. The body has been recovered and sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
He also said that although the case is under process, the investigation is going on. The accused will be brought under the law by quickly unraveling the mystery of the murder.
