59 BGB’s biggest weapon recovered in Chapainawabganj so far

Chapainawabganj Rahanpur Battalion 59 BGB has recovered the biggest weapon so far at Shibganj Sonamsjid border.
He said these things in a written statement at a press conference at Chapainawabganj Rahanpur Battalion 59 BGB office on Thursday (December 21).
Rangpur Region Commander Brigadier General Khondkar Shafiquzzaman PSC, Rajshahi Sector Commander Colonel Imran Ibn A Rauf, Rahanpur Battalion (59 BGB) Commander Lt. Col. Golam Kibria and Deputy Commander Major SM Imrul Kayes were present.
In a press conference last Wednesday, December 20 Under the leadership of Rahanpur Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Golam Kibria, the smugglers left 1 sack and fled inside India when they challenged the smugglers in a sugarcane garden called Unishbighi on the border of Chakpara BOP. During the search, 6 foreign pistols, 12 magazines, 236 rounds of pistol bullets, 51 rounds of machine gun bullets and 35 bottles of Phencidil were recovered. During a CNG search, 1 foreign pistol, 1 magazine of 6 rounds was found in a polythene bag belonging to a female passenger. The said female passenger, Rumi Begum (30), daughter of Humayun Kabir of West Chandipur village, a student of Shibganj upazila, was arrested.
In the said incident, the case against the accused arrested at Shibganj police station of Chapainawabganj district is in the process of handover.
It is relevant to mention that Rahanpur Battalion 59 BGB has been able to seize 20 pistols, 373 rounds of bullets and 32 magazines, along with 11 accused persons in border raids in the last 11 months.
