There was an unpleasant incident where the accused threw a shoe at the judge himself in the courtroom, after not getting bail even after nine months in jail. The accused applied to the judge for bail. Monir Khan But the resident of Nasirnagar area of Brahmanbaria committed this crime during the trial in anger of not being granted bail.

On Tuesday (November 28), this unprecedented incident took place at the Divisional Cyber Tribunal Court in Chittagong. Accused Monir Khan Michael, arrested under the Digital Security Act, threw a shoe at Judge Zahirul Kabir.

When asked about the incident from the public prosecutor of Chittagong Divisional Cyber Tribunal, Advocate Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury, he said that the accused committed this unpleasant incident immediately after Judge Zahirul Kabir took his seat in the courtroom. At that time, the accused said to the judge that the judge is not giving him bail. Saying this, he threw a target shoe at the judge. Immediately after the incident, the police on duty arrested him and took him into their custody. After that, the judge stepped down from the bench and did not conduct the trial.

Where he spread defamatory and false information by abusing in audible language on social media in the name of top politicians of the country including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Later, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Nasirnagar Police Station of Brahmanbaria District, Tapu Saha filed this case under the Digital Security Act in 2021 as the plaintiff.

On this day, his appointed lawyer applied for bail on behalf of the accused. However, after this incident, the lawyer told the court in writing that he no longer wants to handle the case on behalf of the accused.
