Comilla South District Awami League vice-president and Awami League nominated candidate A ZM Shafiuddin Shamim led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Upazila Bangabandhu Mural on Wednesday, November 28 at 4 pm. Admiral Abu Taher, Vice President of Barura Upazila Awami League, Former Upazila Chairman Hafiz Ahmed, Chairman of Barura Upazila Parishad AMM Mainul Islam, Former member of Comilla South District Awami League and former Municipal Mayor Bahaduruzzaman Bahadur, Vice President of Barura Upazila Awami League and Upazila Parishad. Vice Chairman Md. Kamal Hossain, Member Secretary of SQ Foundation Md. Tofail Hossain, Former General Secretary and Former VP of Barura Municipality Awami League Md. Salim Jahangir, Chairman of Aganagar Union Parishad Mazharul Islam Mithu, Vice Chairman of Barura Upazila Women Kamrun Nahar Shikha, Shilmuri D. Union Parishad. Chairman Haji Md Farooq Hossain Bhuiya, Barura Municipal Awami League Leader Md Kabir Hossain Member, Barara Upazila Awami Jubo League Convener Ruhul Quddus Sumon, Barura Upazila Chhatra League Former General Secretary and Upazila Jubo League Joint Convener Nasir Uddin Mihir, Barura Upazila Chhatra League Former President Md Farhad Hossain, Thousands of people from various unions were present.
On this day, the party leaders and workers following the upazila parishad chairman broke the barrier of distance and expressed their determination to work together regardless of party affiliation. In his speech, Barura Upazila Parishad Chairman ANM Moinul Islam said that I have been elected as Moinul Islam Upazila Parishad Chairman in the boat symbol given by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Since the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has nominated AZM Shafiuddin Shamim Saheb as a candidate with the boat symbol, she has called upon everyone to work together regardless of party affiliation for the development of the people of Baruda from today.
