RAB arrested two people with 15 fresh cocktails from a house in Demra

15 fresh cocktails prepared for sabotaging the ongoing anti-government movement were recovered during the RAB-3 operation in Demra of the capital. At this time, RAB arrested two people from the scene along with several tools for making cocktails. The arrested are Israfil Bhuiyan and Zakir.

The cocktails were recovered from an under-construction single-storey abandoned building in Bansherpool Garments Lane on Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, after receiving the news, RAB bomb disposal unit and dog squad team came to the spot and neutralized the cocktail that night.

The commanding officer of RAB-3 Lt. Col. Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed confirmed the information at around 8:30 pm on Monday. That house belongs to the Russian expatriate daughter of the late Abdur Rashid, a local BNP leader. However, the house is maintained by the woman’s younger brother, BNP activist Babu. However, it is reported that Babu did not come to this house on Monday.

RAB said that the house was occupied by organized people and cocktails were prepared for the series of programs announced by BNP-Jamaat since October 28.

According to the preliminary information given by the arrested, RAB also said that each cocktail maker was paid Tk 4,000. And the carrier was paid 1000 rupees for each cocktail delivered.

However, further investigation will reveal who is leading the incident and involved in bringing and preparing the cocktail making equipment. Based on earlier intelligence surveillance and tip-off, the house was raided and the two arrested.
