Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Feni District Joint Convener Gazi Habibullah Manik, District Youth Dal President Zakir Hossain Jasim and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Khandkar have been arrested by RAB and police. They were arrested last Saturday, November 11 at night. Feni district BNP member secretary Alal Uddin Alal confirmed this information. Around 2.30 am, the detainees were taken to Feni Model Police Station.
The others arrested are Fazlul Haque Munna, Feni Municipal Youth Dal leader and Ismail, the driver of District Youth Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Khandkar. Company Captain of Fenistha RAB-7 Squad Leader Mohammad Sadekul Islam has confirmed the fact of the arrest of two youth leaders in connection with police killings in Dhaka. He said that after initial interrogation, they were handed over to Feni Model Police Station.
Feni district BNP said that the police ambushed the district BNP protest march on Sunday morning and arrested Delwar Hossain Babul, convener of Feni town BNP, Dharmapur union BNP general secretary Zia Uddin Patwari, Kalidah union BNP leader Mahi Uddin, Chhatra Dal leader Arman. Convenor Sheikh Farid Bahar and member secretary Alal Uddin confirmed the authenticity of Alala. Feni Municipal BNP Member Secretary Advocate Mezbah Uddin Bhuiyan was seriously injured in this attack.
