On the occasion of the 51st founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League in Barura, Comilla on Saturday afternoon, November 11, a huge joyous rally and development procession was held in the presence of Upazila Awami League and its affiliates at the initiative of Upazila Awami Jubo League. On the occasion of the foundation anniversary, leaders and activists from various unions of the upazila came together in the premises of Barura Sunnia Kamil Madrasa with banners and festoons and at one point turned into a huge public gathering. After that, the procession circled the various roads of the municipality and ended at the zero point. At this stage, Vice Chairman of Barura Upazila Parishad and Vice President of Barura Upazila Awami League Md. Kamal Hossain, former general secretary of Barura Upazila Chhatra League Nashir Uddin Mihir and former president of Barura Upazila Chhatra League Md. Farhad Hossain gave a brief speech at the road meeting. The speakers highlighted the story of movement, struggle and victory in the 51 years of Jubo League. Besides, the multi-dimensional development, success of the Awami League government, along with the overall change in people’s quality of life, how the country’s infrastructure and socio-economic context has changed in 15 years comes out in the speech. At the same time, in order to continue this development, the public is once again called upon to unite and re-elect the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the daughter of the spirit of democracy.
Former member of Comilla South District Awami League and former Mayor of Barura Municipality Md.
