Although Chanu Mia is not a painter by profession, she will leave behind a professional painter. In just 10-15 minutes with the touch of skillful hands, all kinds of pictures are taken. After the death of his parents, he was mentally broken. Since then, Chanu Mia became unbalanced with various thoughts. After that, he went around and started painting the story of the liberation war on the walls of the city. And drawing this picture has become his life partner.
On the surface, Chanu Mia is seen with a bag made of jute. Channu Mia is painting a picture on a wall at Battala, Muslim Para, Zilla Sadar, Akur-Takur Para intersection of the municipal city with coal and kachuripana and some pieces of paper in the bag. People of all ages are flocking to see his paintings. Everyone is appreciating this picture of him. Md. Shaheen Chowdhury of the district headquarters said, I have been seeing Chanu Mia drawing pictures on different walls of the city with kachuripana and coal. His paintings are very beautiful. The new generation of boys and girls will be encouraged by seeing his paintings. You can paint a better picture if you give him official support.
Iqbal Hossain Ali, a former councilor of Tangail municipality, said, “I have known Chanu since I was a child.” He painted many pictures of freedom fighters on various walls with tree leaves and charcoal. It is very nice to see him draw this picture. He also painted pictures of Independence and Bangabandhu. He can become a better painter if he is supported by the government.
Rickshaw driver Idris Ali said, I drive rickshaw through different areas of the city. Then I saw Chanu Pagla painting pictures on different walls. When there are no passengers, I stop driving the rickshaw and enjoy painting it. Chanu painted on the wall. The owner of the house abuses the person who paints on the wall. Still, Chanu Mia did not know how to stop. Many are impressed by his talent. If he is supported by the government, he can go much further. How did he draw such a picture Channu Mia was not balanced so it was not possible to take her statement.
Cultural activist Jasim Uddin said, Channu Mia can draw very beautiful pictures. He is an unbalanced man yet paints like a professional painter. I am also impressed by his beautiful talent. If his treatment is arranged by the government. I think he can draw better pictures. He can gain the reputation of Tangail.
