Four months after the death of a housewife named Nurjahan (32) in Bhola Charfassion, the body has been exhumed from the grave for post-mortem examination. On Saturday (September 30) morning, in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land), the police exhumed the body of the deceased housewife from the cemetery of the mosque of Ward No. 9 of Rasulpur Union.
It is known that about 14 years ago, the housewife was married to Md. Zakir Hossain, son of Abdul Malek of Ward No. 6 of South Char Aicha village.
The housewife was brutally tortured by her husband Zakir Hossain since her marriage.
On the night of May 11, 6-month pregnant housewife Nurjahan died mysteriously at her husband Zakir Hossain’s house in Ward No. 6 of Dakshin Char-Aicha village of Upazila. Husband Zakir Hossain got married 22 days after his wife’s death. And this is what the housewife’s father, Mustafar, suspects. Therefore, on Wednesday, July 5, the deceased’s father said. Mostafa filed a murder case in the Charfassion Senior Judicial Magistrate Court accusing 5 other people including the victim’s husband Zakir Hossain as the plaintiff.
The investigating officer of the case, Additional Superintendent of Police Lalmohan Circle Mohammad Babul Akhtar said, in the presence of Charfassion Upazila Nirbahi Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Salek Muhid, the body of the deceased housewife was exhumed from the grave and sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.
 Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Mohammad Salek Muhid said that the body of the housewife was exhumed from the grave on the orders of the court.
