The BGB conducted a raid on a house in Hnila, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar and arrested 2 people with 69 hand bombs and a large amount of bomb-making equipment. The two arrested are Md. Samrat Prodhan (33), son of Nazrul Islam of Naburkandi village of Matlab Uttar police station in Chandpur district, and Md. Antar (32), son of Saiful Islam of Dakshin Garmora village of Bandar police station in Narayanganj district.

The raid was conducted in a dilapidated house in Phuler Dale area of ​​Hnila union of Teknaf upazila in the early hours of last Sunday. This information was confirmed by Teknaf-2 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Ashikur Rahman. Lt. Col. Ashikur Rahman said that during initial interrogation, the two detainees gave information that an organized group has been making bombs on a contract basis for a long time and selling and supplying them to different parts of the country.

Lt. Col. Ashikur Rahman said that based on secret information, the operation was launched at 3 am in an abandoned house in the area of ​​​​Phuleer Dale in Hnila. After conducting an extensive search for about 3 hours, two people were arrested from inside a dilapidated house along with 69 hand bombs, 1.6 kg of sulfur, 1.3 kg of saliva, 31 boxes of zardar, 220 grams of guntar and 01 plus. At this time, sensing the presence of the BGB, two other people who were in the courtyard of the house quickly fled. He said that a regular case has been filed against the two people along with the seized bombs and bomb-making equipment and handed them over to Teknaf Model Police Station.
