500 families in Laksham received food aid from Australia’s Sadaqa Welfare Fund

A food pack of 25 kg including rice, dal oil was distributed among 500 families who were helpless, distressed and recently affected by floods in Laksam, Comilla with the help of Australian donor organization Sadaqa Welfare Fund and the initiative of humanitarian organization Chhawab Foundation. Along with this, the organization has also given a bucket for collecting fresh water.

On October 25 (Friday), managing director of Australia’s donor organization Sadaka Welfare Fund Jaskun Unal, his son Yusuf Unal, director Abdur Rahman distributed the food items under the management of Chawab Foundation at Laksam Government Pilot High School ground.

Chwab Foundation Chairman SM Rasheduzzaman, Director (Operation) Aftabuzzaman, Program Manager Mohammad Lokman Hossain Talukdar, Deputy Manager Khorshed Alam, Assistant Manager Abu Saeed Mollah, Senior Officer Tuhin Mahmud were present.

Prominent social worker and politician Prof. Md. Rezaul Karim, Advocate Badiul Alam Sujan, Eminent Educationist Abul Bashar, Asaduzzaman Bhuttu, Abdur Rob Farooqui, Shahidul Islam etc.

Jaskun Unal, managing director of Sadaka Welfare Fund, said in response to a question from journalists, “We are always engaged in the welfare of people. We love to work for and support people. We especially love the people of Bangladesh. The people of this country are in my heart. We have been providing cash and food aid through Chhawar Foundation since the onset of floods in many districts including Netrakona, Barisal and Comilla districts of Bangladesh. We have more plans. I want to build housing for the helpless people of Bangladesh. We are working towards the goal that the people of Bangladesh can live well and live well. We need your help for that.
