The BNP has called for a 48-hour nationwide total blockade with a one-day break. The program will run from 6 am on Wednesday to 6 am on Friday.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party, announced the new program at a virtual press conference on Monday (November 6) afternoon. On the occasion of ‘Revolution and Solidarity’ Day, the blockade program has been suspended tomorrow 7 November . Like-minded political parties will also hold this program simultaneously.
Earlier in a statement, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Oli Ahmad (Vir Bikram) said, “My request to the leaders and workers of LDP at all levels and countrymen is to coordinate with the agitating parties in their respective areas and make the blockade program successful on Wednesday and Thursday on November 8 and 9.” He also said, I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the people of the country for successfully observing the blockade with sincerity on November 5 and 6. Kindly observe the programs with us in the coming days in an orderly and peaceful manner. This government must be dismissed. Bring back the country’s sovereignty and constitutional rights even if it is a little difficult. Appeal to the general public to help make our program a success by keeping cars off the roads.
Earlier on October 31, November 1 and 2, several parties including BNP-Ejamaat observed this all-out blockade on roads, railways and waterways.
