4 killed in truck-train collision in Mymensingh

Four people have been reported killed in a collision between a train and a sand truck in Shambhuganj, Mymensingh. However, the number of injured in the incident is not yet known.

The accident took place in Shambhuganj of Sadar Upazila on Monday (December 25) around 1:30 pm. Kotwali Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to the media.

Railway officials said that at noon at Shambhuganj railway crossing, a train engine collided with a sand-laden truck. 4 people were killed on the spot. Since the incident, trains have been suspended on the Netrakona-Bhairav route.
