Four people were killed when a fish truck overturned in Elliotganj, Comilla. Three others were injured in the same incident. This incident happened on Tuesday (March 12) around 5:30 am. It is known that the fish truck overturned after hitting a truck standing on the side of the road.
The deceased are Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Sadar Thana area of Satkhira, Monir Hossain of Manpura area of Bhola, Habibur Rahman and Akhter Hossain of the same area. Elliotganj Highway Police OC Manjurul Alam confirmed the matter to the media.
The OC said that the truck carrying fish from Noakhali to Dhaka hit a truck standing on the side of the road and overturned. Four people in the truck were crushed and seriously injured. When they were rescued and taken to a local hospital, the doctor declared them dead.
He said that the condition of the three injured persons is serious. They were first taken to a local hospital. However, they are being taken to Dhaka as the condition is serious.
