1000 taka to Riad Store, 1000 taka to Panchu store owner of Dhawapara area and 5000 taka to the owner of M/s Arogya Niketan Pharmacy of Belgachi Station Bazar area under Section 45 of Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 for the offense of not selling or delivering the promised product properly and In the same section, the owner of Biswas Medicine Corner of that area was fined 5 thousand taka and four company owners were fined a total of 12 thousand taka.
Rajbari Consumer Rights Protection Department Assistant Director Kazi Rakibul Hasan confirmed the matter and said that in the raid, various business establishments of the market including various daily-necessary shops, pharmacies and foodstuff selling establishments were monitored in Surya Nagar Bazar, Dhawapara Ferry Ghat and Belgachi Station area of Sadar Upazila. During the supervision process, all concerned are warned about preventing the production and sale of prohibited products, production and processing of products by illegal processes, not selling expired products and unauthorized and illegal products, including not selling products at more than the prescribed price. At this time four establishment owners have been fined. He also said that the campaign will continue in public interest.
