36 Rohingyas, including men, women and children, infiltrated into Teknaf from Myanmar. Later, the BGB took them into custody. They entered through the Munder Dailghat area of ​​Marine Drive Sabrang in Teknaf at around 2 pm on Sunday (January 5). It is learned that the Rohingyas in the custody of the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) include 5 women, 10 children and 21 men. The BGB has said that they will be sent back to Myanmar.
Teknaf’s Md. Selim Member said that 36 Rohingyas, including women and children, entered a trawler through the Munder Dale Ghat on Marine Drive. Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ehsan Uddin said that the Rohingyas entered the Marine Drive Teknaf Munder Dale around noon and the BGB took them into custody. Teknaf-2 BGB Major Ishtiaq Ahmed said that 36 Rohingyas entered by sea. They will be sent back.
