A girl of Mandartali village of Payalgacha union of Barura upazila of Comilla district and a class ninth student of a local high school have been accused of rape. Police arrested three youths in this incident. Shahidul Islam Shahid (38), son of A Karim of Ekbaria village of Adra Union of the same upazila, Meraj Hossain Rabiul (22), son of Mostafa Kamal, and Borhan Uddin Raju (20), son of Emran Talukdar, were charged with rape on Friday (July 14) afternoon. The young man was arrested. Rape complainant Shahidul Islam Shahid is the owner of Ma Mobile Telecom Service of Ekbaria Bazar, Meraj Hossain Rabiul is a student of Payalgacha Degree College and Chhatra League leader of Ward No. 6 of Adra Union and Borhan Uddin Raju Bakhat. According to local sources, apart from Shahidul Islam Shahid, the other two teenagers are involved in gangs and drugs. According to the source of the case, last Thursday (July 13) at 6:20 in the evening, the consumer asked for a bill of 250 taka for mobile repair in Ekbaria Bazar and said that he had 150 taka. Forced to rape. Then two young men followed the victim student on her way home for half a km. After crossing the road, Ekbaria forcibly raped the female student at Patwari Bari Cemetery at around 8:40 PM. On July 14 (Friday) at 5 pm, Barura Police Station Case No. 10 Section 9(1) /10/30 of Women and Children Suppression Act was registered. After filing the case, SI Uttam and his companions arrested the rape accusers and handed them over to the police station. Confirming the arrest of three people, Barura Police Station Officer (OC) Firoz Hossain said that the three youths who complained of rape were arrested after the victim’s mother filed a case on Friday, July 14. They were brought to court on Saturday, July 15 at noon. The complainants admitted the formation in the preliminary interrogation. Those arrested were brought to court this afternoon.
