Moynul Bhuyan, Brahmanbaria Correspondent: BNP held a black flag march and protest rally on Tuesday to protest the killing of Chhatra Dal leader Rafiqul Islam Nayan in Brahmanbaria’s Bancharampur. At around 11 o’clock, the angry leaders and activists took out a procession with black flags from the government college intersection on the initiative of the district BNP and the organization. A protest rally was held as the procession circled the main road of the city.
District BNP former president Hafizur Rahman Molla Kochi presided over it, former general secretary Zahirul Haque Khokon, former organizing secretary Sirajul Islam Siraj and others spoke in it. At that time, the speakers complained that Nayan was killed by the police. The speakers strongly condemned and protested the incident of Nayan’s murder and demanded the justice of those responsible through the court.
It is to be noted that Rafiqul Islam Nayan, Vice President of Char Sonarampur Union Chhatra Dal of that upazila was shot dead during the program of BNP in Bancharampur on 19 November.
