Bangabandhu-Bangamata football tournament finale and prize distribution held in Mymensingh

Anwar Sadat Jahangir /Shah Alam Khan: On the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Boys-Girls (Under-17) National Gold Cup Football Tournament Mymensingh Divisional level final game and awards were distributed by the chief guest of the program, State Minister of Culture Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh K. M Khalid MP. A discussion meeting was held on this occasion at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in the city on Tuesday (November 22) afternoon. Under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Md. Shafiqur Reza Biswas and conducted by Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Anwar Hossain, State Minister of the Ministry of Culture KM Khalid MP spoke as the chief guest.
DIG Devdas Bhattacharya of Mymensingh Range, District Administrator Md. Enamul Haque, Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmed Bhuiyan and others spoke as special guests. General Secretary of District Sports Association Md. Ehteshamul Alam. On this occasion, Zilla Parishad Chairman Professor Yusuf Khan Pathan, District Sports Officer Abdul Bari, District Football Association President AKM Delwar Hossain Mukul, General Secretary Sajjad Alam Shaheen, Traffic Inspector (Administration) Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Kotwali Model Police Station were present. Officer-in-charge Shah Kamal Akand, in-charge of police outpost No. 2 Mahbubur Rahman along with other officers-employees of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and District Sports Office etc. Mymensingh, Netrocon, Jamalpur boys and girls football teams participated in the final game. Mymensingh Boys (U-17) defeated Jamalpur 5-1 in the allotted time to become champions. On the other hand, girls (under 17) Netrakona team defeated Jamalpur team 1-0 at the scheduled time and became the champions.
