Dharmapasha in two drug dealers were arrested under leadership of OC Mizanur Rahman along with 1 ganja


Mubarak Hossain, Dharmapasha Sunamganj Correspondent:  Dharmapasha Thana police arrested two drug dealers named Tuhin Mia (28) and Fatema Akhter (25) along with 1 ganja from the launch ghat near Kans river in Sunamganj’s Dharmapasha Upazila. In this incident, police station SI Sohel Mahmud Badi filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act against the two drug dealers who were arrested on the same day. Dharmapasha Thana police and Ela residents sources said that Tuhin Mia (28) resident of Dajnagar village of Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district and Fatema Akhter (25) of Binchahri village of the same upazila are drug dealers. From Madhavpur Upazila of Habiganj District, they left for Dharmapasha Bazar Launch Ghat with two luggages and two cloth bags in 19 polypacks with 1 ganja crushed by costep on Sunday at around 11:00 PM from Launch Ghat of Sunamganj District Headquarter to Dhaka. A group of police from Dharmapasha police station went to the launch ghat after getting information based on secret information at around 5:30 am today. At half past six in the morning, the launch which left Sunamganj district headquarter launch ghat arrived at Dharmapasha Bazar launch ghat. Around six in the morning, Tuhin and Fatema were arrested along with two luggage and two cloth bags. Later, their bags and luggage were searched and 19 packets of crushed ganja weighing 1 gram were seized. Later, SI Sohel Mahmood of Dharmapasha police station filed a case under Narcotics Control Act against the two as the plaintiff. In this case, both of them were arrested. Dharmapasha Police Station OC Mohammad Mizanur Rahman told reporters that 19 polypacks of crushed ganja were seized from two luggages and two cloth bags at Kostep. In this incident, a case has been filed against the two drug dealers under the Narcotics Control Act. Preparations are underway to send them to court.
