Import-export stop at Akhaura land port for six days

Bangladesh has informed that there will be no import-export from October 4 to 6. On the other hand, according to the decision of Indian traders, the import-export operations of the port will be closed today from October 2 to 6. When talking about the matter, the general secretary of Akhaura Land Port Import-Exporter Association. Shafiqul Islam told Daily Present Times on Saturday evening that Indians will stop import and export for five days and Bangladeshi businessmen for three days. For this reason, other business activities other than import-export will be conducted at Akhaura port on October 2 and 3. However, all business activities will be closed for the remaining three days. Since October 7 is a weekend holiday, business activities will begin in full swing from October 8. However, passenger transit through this port will be normal at the mentioned time.
