Autumn festival ‘Living Mother Puja’ will be held on Navami in Akhaura

Moynul Bhuiyan, Brahmanbaria Correspondent: On the occasion of Sharidiya Durgotsava, a special puja program titled ‘Living Mother Puja’ will be organized at Akhaura in Brahmanbaria. Preparations have been made to organize this puja in the evening of Navami day at the central temple Sri Sri Radhamadhav Akhara located at Radhanagar in the municipal area. Preparations are being made to organize similar pujas in other puja mandaps of the upazila.
This information was informed in the puja preparation meeting organized by police station on Thursday. The meeting organized in the hall of the police station was chaired by the officer in charge (OC) of the police station. Asadul Islam. It was informed in the meeting that puja will be held in 22 mandaps in the upazila. For the sake of security, CC cameras have been ensured in each mandap. Everyone agreed on the idol’s abandonment before sunset. The presidents and editors of various temple committees present at the meeting said that the work of making the idol is almost at the end.
Alak Kumar Chakraborty, General Secretary of Sri Sri Radhabadhav Akhara Mandir Management Committee said, ‘We have organized this event to raise children’s sense of respect towards their mothers and to present the issue in front of everyone. We are making preparations in such a way that at least 20 to 30 children perform mother’s puja. Like Durga, they will present gifts to the living mother along with the puja.
